I just left one of my long time communities. I'd had a gutful of the cuntishness of some of the women there, and the most recent post I read helped me make my decision.
Women are fucking bitches. Period. (No pun intended either lol) You join a community or a forum for women with other women in the hopes of showing off your ink and getting help with designs or informationn on shops, or even some constructive criticism every now and then. But there are a few comms on LJ that are just full of cunts. And I for one am fucking sick of it. I try and moderate my own community tattooed, and I have been known to delete really cunty posts/comments and the people who post them. Not very often mind you, but still....I just remembered I am also a mod on another comm that really never needs moderating. Heh!
Anyway, the point is, if you're a member of a community here on LJ, and you don't like the way it's members act, just leave it. There is nothing else you can really do is there, except complain to yourself cos no one else is gonna listen. especially the buncha bitches who seem to have a little clique going on in this one community. Fuck them and their shitty tattoos.
In other news, I am getting my new secondhand kitchen installed. Today the plumber slash carpenter came over and started. He is almost done, about an hour and a half to finish it. So the Bogan Cafe will have a bigger better work area to work and experiment from! I'm going to have a metal afternoon tea once everything is over and done, maybe in 2 weeks. If you're in Sydney and wanna come, there'll be cupcakes (of course), scones, vol au vents and puffy dogs just to name a few tasty things. OH AND BEER hahahahah can't have a bogan metal tea party without beer!!!
So yeah lemme know if you wanna come over for tea and cake etc lol ;)
I will of course post pixx of the before and after of the kitchen probably this weekend. It looks awesome with the new black and white checkerboard floor. I fucking love it.
So, what's new with ya'll?

If you are naturally creative, this can be a wonderful time to channel your inner artist, for your work can express your deepest feelings.
But you must take the initiative to do something with your talent or knowledge.
Seek meaning by connecting personal experiences with larger patterns in your life.
What others see as your luck may really be a result of how well you can understand the big picture.

I just saw an article on the news about a tattoo shop in Camden, in Sydney's southwest, that has just been attacked for the 3rd time since it opened in November.
Yeah November 2007.
Yes, that's only 5 months ago.
It has been reported that the fires and the truck through the shop front early this mornign are the work of a biker gang, who think True Blue are going to take away business form them.
What a crock. If you're a good tattooist, in a shop with a good rep, then you have NO worries about losing business, but if you end up fucking up, that COULD cost you business.
A similar thing happened to my tattiooist's old boss, his shop was trashed about 5 years ago, in what is rumoured to be an attack by a biker gang as well. Maybe the people who are doing the trashing should find BETTER tattooists to work for them then eh? And give them good working conditions and THEN they they might not feel so threatened by people who can actually tattoo well huh? Really, The only reason people won't go to a tattoo shop is if the artists suck, the shop is filthy, or the owners try to intimidate people.
There is more than enough customers for every tattoo shop in Australia, even if there are more than one in every town, suburb, city whatever.
Michelle Smith and Rob Medley have my support in rebuilding their shop for the third time, and I think anyone else who is involved in the industry should support them as well, whether it be getting or giving tattoos, have your say, or if you live near Camden drop by and tell them you support them. It's fucking disgusting that a young family who go through proper channels to get a tattoo shop opened, have to fight tooth and nail to stay open, in their first 6 months of business.
The shop is located at:
True Blue Tattooing Shop13/ 1 Murray St Camden 2570
And here is an article from the Camden Gazette today:
Tattoo parlour attacked again
Police are investigating another attack on True Blue Tattooing in Murray Street. Witnesses called the police at 2am this morning after a truck was rammed through the front roller door of the tattoo parlour.
The truck's tray was alight.
A crime scene has been set up by police.
It was the fourth attack on the parlour since it opened in November.
Anyone with any information should call Camden police on 4655 0599 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000

Ugh I went to see my doctor today. He put me on an antibiotic in case of a secondary infection (I have swollen glands and a sore throat now dammit) and then made me go next door for an immediate blood test.
I HATE GETTING BLOOD TAKEN LOATHE IT DESPISE IT!!!!
Anyway, I have another day off work tomorrow and probably Thursday as well. No gym at all since last Wednesday night when this all started, which I am getting pissy about, I want to go god dammit. Wow I never thought I'd be saying THOSE words lmao
I still feel like I have no energy, so I am still drinking tnos of water and taking my vitamins and medication everyday. It was good to feel sun on my skin today, I realised I hadn't been outside in about 4 days. Something you should do everyday even if the sun isn't out. Git that vitamin D innya
Sooooooo I've been watching TV, reading this book called The Wheel of Life ( A Memoir of Living and Dying) by Elisabeth Kubler-Ross, who was the author of books on death and dying, but this book is about her own life. It's really intersting. (She passed away in 2003 I believe)
Yeah I'm a book worm. What of it mang? lol I don't like much fiction, I've always been more into non fiction since I was a little kid, I was even a librarian at school! I probably shoulda stuck with it? I wonder if I could go to school and become a librarian now? I'm sure Pol would love that
Ok enough waffling.
I'm going to watch tv and tool around online. I might even put messenger on if ya wanna chat

This afternoon, I came home to some very sad news.
Ben Marlin of Disgorge (US) had lost his battle with cancer. After 18 months of fighting it, it took his life on January 2nd, 2008 at 5am (US Pacific time)
I met Ben outside a record store in Enmore when Disgorge had arrived here fomr New Zealand. Cam introduced me and I'd asked him where they'd been befpre Oz and he told me NZ, and I commented, "Oh yeah those Kiwis like to say "cunt" a lot eh?"
"haha Fuck yeah they do!"
Ben was a guy who made you feel like you'd known him for 10 years. He was quiet at times, but still a party animal deep down. He was an excellent bass player and loved to play, there is no doubt about that.
The metal scene won't be the same with ya mate.

So does anyone actually read this anymore? It must be one of the most asked questions on LJ and now I'm asking it.
Yeah I know I havent been consistant while I was away, and that was because my fucking brand new laptop died 4 days after I got there. I now have it packed up waiting for a courier to pick it up to be repaired. Fucking ACER can kiss it. If it breaks down again, I told them I want a new one, no questions.
Anyway, I am home. I don't want to be. I want to be back in the US. And maybe I will be to study. I got in contact with the culinary institute about their pastry chef course, so I hope it won't take them too long to send me the info, I need to know how much that course so I can start saving for that, a visa and airfare etc.
Wish me luck.
I go back to work on Monday, which I am not really looking forward to. I think I might need to change jobs soon. I can't cope with the death anymore.
I'm gonna eat and then shower and wait for our Chrisco hamper to arrive and then order next years online.
Later.
